Q.

Baby teeth

Hi

I have 2 questions for you:

1. My baby has 4 teeth. I usually wipe his teeth and gums with a material gauze and colgate junior in the morning and just before I give him his last milk feed for the day. Is it ok if I brush his teeth before the last milk feed (and not after) coz he usually falls fast asleep after drinking?

2. My baby' s top two teeth are quite far apart (looks like another tooth can fit inbetween!). Is this something to be concerned about? Or will his teeth move closer together when the other ones come out?

Tx

1) no it is better to brush at least twice a day. brush him after the last feed

2) this is a common occurence in many children. they may not move closer but this does not necessarily mean the permanent will look this way too
