Q.

At what age do you start using braces in boys

My son is 10 years old and has only 8 permanent teeth. One can see that there is not enough space for his teeth as the front 2 are overlapping. Both me and his dad had braces and not enough space for our theeth. When do I have to take him to a Orthodontic specialist? Most people say we have to wait until he has all his permanet teeth.

Your dentist will need to advise you when is the ideal time for the orthodontic visit. The dental checkup needs to be done first- only IF thet teeth do not require treatment , can braces be done.
Braces are usually done from the ages of 11-13
