Allergic or Dentist error

I had 2 fillings done at a dentist (not my usual Dentist) 3 weeks ago. Since that day I have not been able to bite on either one. It feels as if there' s something stuck between my teeth &  the filling, and is very painful. Just over a week ago I developed an abses on the one side, which left me looking like an alien as my left-side of my face &  neck was swolen extremely. I went back to the same dentist (as there' s only 2 Dentists in this area), he drained it &  put I temp filling on &  prescribed antibiotics. He didn' t do anything on the other filling which today has started an an abses. When we left my husband said that he never cleaned anything he worked with in my mouth. No gloves no face mask. We would work with 1 thing, put it on the counter take something else, re-use the thing he' s put on the counter, etc. My husband was not with on the first appointment, I did not notice or see any of this while laying there!
Now my question is this: Could it be that maybe I' m allergic to something in the fillings or could it be due to unhygenic conditions.
Do I go back to him confront him with this or rather go to someone else?

working without gloves or masks is definitely unhygienic.
THe pain however is unlikely to be casued by this. You can also rule out allergies.
from what you describe, it may be that the tooth had a large cavity and that cavity extends into the nerve (hence the abscess).
a root canal needs to be performed in such a case.
i suggest a second opinion
