Q.

7yr olds discoloured teeth &  gums

Hi Doc,

My husband &  I still assist/ brush my 7yr old daughters teeth. This is to ensure that it is clean &  done properly. She does not like the kiddies toothpaste but prefers Close-up or Mentadent P. However I have found that her teeth is still more yellow than white. I have also noticed that her gums are more purple than pink.

Is there a reason for this? Are we doing something wrong?

Thanks.

Gum and teeth colour can vary greatly and "purple" gums are very common.
Brushing will not whiten teeth so if she has a natural yellow shade- its perfectly normal
