Q.

Removal of urethral fillers for stress incontinence.

I am a 54 year old woman who had bulking injections for stress incontinence a month ago. I am happy that the procedure successfully treated the incontinence but now intercourse is extremely uncomfortable. I can feel the two fillers in my vagina. The fact that I can feel movement when I bend over or sometimes when I sit down I find disturbing. Is it possible to remove the two bottom fillers and what are the risks? Will I be worse off?

Dear I

It is not possible to remove the fillers. Some filling material absorbs over time. It varies from product to product. Best to return to your urologist for a consultation on the best way forward, and an examination to assess.
Kind regards
