Q.

Yellowish discharge on 4yr old!

I noticed that my 4yr old had a yellowish discharge on her panties. I then had a chat with her to establish the cause (asked if anyone had touched her and she said no). I' m really worried that maybe someone is abusing my child or maybe could it be that she got it from a toilet somewhere or at creche? Please help!

This is not due to sexual abuse. The most likely cause is a candida infection. Has she had an antibiotic recently? If she has had an antibiotic give her Nystatin oral solution by mouth 1ml 4 times a day for 5 days plus a probiotic such as Probiflora childrens chewable tablets once daily for 10 days. Apply Nystatin cream to her vaginal area twice daily.

Yes she has been taking an antibiotic (forgot its name) that a Dr gave her when I took her in for flu.
I' m so relieved, can I get these over the counter without a prescription?
