Q.

Worried about weight

Hi Professor,

I am worried about my 11 month old son''s weight. He weighs 10.4kg and is 80cm tall. Is this average?

He is healthy and eats 5 meals a day. My first born son walked at 10 months and my second born does not seem to want to walk at all. Should I be concerned?

Thank you for your time.

Your son is exceptionally tall for his age and is well above the average height for an 11 month old baby [top 2% of baby boys of 11 months]. His weight is in the top 25% for baby boys of his age.So there is no need for concern. Most babies start walking at around 13 to 14 months so again there is no need for concern.
