Q.

Why?

I have a son who turns 3 in two weeks. for some time now, say more than two months he has been biting his nails. My husband and I constantly tell him not to do it, but it does not help. What could be the reason for this nail biting, I do not bite my nails and niether does my husband.

This is very common behaviour indeed. Strangely enough as with all habits the more you tell your son to stop and the more attention you draw to the habit, the worse it will become. Try your best to completly ignore his nail biting and with time he will simply stop. All the usual treatments for nail biting seem to have little or no effect.
