White Makrs on baby' s teeth

My boy is now 13 months and has his first teeth. I have noticed that he has with marks on two front teeth. It is not soft. Is this cause for concern? Does he lack something?

Thx!

These white marks on a baby's milk teeth are very common. The actual cause is not known and is not due to a calcium deficiency. These spots are more common in areas where there is a high level of natural flouride in the water e.g. parts of the Northern Cape. Your son's teeth will not show the same spots with his permanent teeth.
