Q.

White around mouth and nose

Hi Prof

Another question from me...we recently noticed that our 3.5 yo goes bright white around his mouth and nose whethever het laughs or plays. Cheeks are red then. Is this normal? or what could it be? he is well otherwise (apart from the Chiari ofcourse).

This appearance of paleness around the mouth may occur in children who are anaemic and also in children who are having breathing difficulty such as occurs with asthma. It would be best to ask your paediatrician about this.
