Q.

Which Formula?

My baby is 10 weeks old. I am breastfeeding, and will continue to do so for as long as possible. However, I am returning to work at the end of January and he will need to be fed two bottles while I am away.

My husband and I both have asthma and eczema. I tried to slowly introduce the Nan HA formula to him (which my daughter used), but he reacted very badly. He had a blocked nose, eczema flared up and terrible gas and cramps. Could it be an allergy to the cow''s milk?

Which formula should I try? I have been reading up on Similac (which is said to be a true HA formula) and Nan Lactose Free.

You have set your question out very well. It does sound as if your baby is very allergic to cow's milk. He has even reacted to a low allergy cow's milk formula, NAN HA. He does not need a lactose-free formula, but requires a highly modified formula for cow's milk allergic babies. He will do well on Similac Alimentum.
