When to see ENT?

My 4.5 year old son has had a post-nasal drip for 4 months now. Our paed saw him about 3 weeks ago and prescribed antibiotics (5 days) and Deselex for 1 month. He still has the post-nasal drip, and is constantly making gagging-snorting sounds to try and clear his nose/back of throat. Should I take hom to see an ENT now? or is there something else we can try?

It sounds as if your baby has a very blocked nose indeed. The most likely cause is enlarged adenoids. Allergy appears unlikley as he has not responded to the Deselex.Try using Salex nose drops 1 drop in each nostril twice a day for 10 days. If this does not help take him to see an ENT specialist.

What harm can it do to take him to the ent? Seems like there is an underlying problem, but I am no expert...
My son constantly suffered from pnd and was on deselex for about 3 years!!! We went to the most amazing ent and today my son is 100% Even stopped the deselex a year ago..

Good luck :-)
