Your little daughter probably has an illness caused by a virus infection of her chest which is called bronchiolitis. This same virus may cause a pneumonia in some children. Seeing that she now has a fever and is coughing so much it is essential that she be seen again by a doctor in case she has pneumonia. The other problem is that the weekend is coming up and it may be difficult to see your doctor. Please take her back to your doctor ASAP.

Sounds like bronchiolitis. My paed identified the following waranting a visit:
- rapid breathing (> 55 per minute)
- Loss of appetite
- Fever > 39
- Bluish color around mouth and nailbeds.
If your child has any of these together with the dry cough, it most likely could be pneumonia, so needs to be checked out by a pediatrician.

Hope this helps
