What to put into bottle

Hi Professor,

My 15 month old son has gone off cows milk. I initially took him off as he had diarrhoea and he drank Hydrol. I tried to give him cows milk again and he threw the bottle away.

At his age, does he still need milk?

If not, what else can I put into the water to make it tasty? He is not a fan of Rooibos tea and I feel that cordials are too sweet.

Thank you.

Your little son still needs about 700ml of milk a day. This does not include his other liquids such as water and diluted fruit juice. He may have a temporary lactose intolerance following his recent diarrhoea. Try him on a soya formula such as Isomil Advance for about 3 months. After that try him on milk based growth formula such as NAN3 or on Parmalat First Growth milk.If he still cannot tolerate a milk formula at that stage then stay on the isomil Advance.
