Q.

what to do?

Dear doc
Im not a geat believer in the supernatural to me it has always been a bit of a joke. How do I handle my 24 month old when se tells me there is - somone in her room. Or she will say someone is comming down the passage. If I ask who she would answer her grandpa (he has passed away befor she was born) since this incedent she has " seen"  more things thats makes her almost histeric in fear. Is this a fase or maybe n sign of some scitzophrenia. - sounds harsh to say but you should she the fear in this childs eyes when it happens she realy believes this.
She is not allowed much tv and also only with us present and under supervision.
My older daughter also told me once that my father came to visit her one night with extremely elaborate details about shining lights
around him and when she tried touching him she could not.
She said he tickeled her back gave her a kiss and left. I always said it was only a dream.

This is getting worse by the day - When I pick her up and show her the room is empty - she will say -" someone is gone"
mostely naming it someone???

What do I do

I take it that your daughter is not just having bad dreams and these episodes occur while she is awake. Some people may regard your child as having special psychic powers. However it is important to exclude certain conditions that can be associated with this kind of behaviour especially a form of epilepsy called temporal lobe epilepsy. I would suggest that you take her to be seen by a paediatric neurologist. There are experts in all the main centres in SA.I would appreciate hearing about the outcome of your visit to the specialist.
