Q.

What should I do?

My son is 9yrs old and have a couple of times complained that if he sits for too long and gets up he feels dizzy. Should I take him for a check up.

The most common cause of this complaint is a physiological problem called postural hypotension [low blood pressure when suddenly standing up from a lying or sitting position]. Your son needs to have his blood pressure measured when he is lying down and standing.At the same time the doctor should check your son's fasting blood sugar level.
