Q.

WHAT IS AN AMBIGIOUSE BABY

I WORK IN A HOPISTAL AND WAS RECENTLY ASKED TO REGISTER A BABY, WHEN I ASKED WHAT THE SEX OF THE BABY WAS I WAS TOLD TO MARK IT AS AMBIGIOUSE. PLEASE I DO NOT WANT TO ASK THE SISTER IN MATERNITY FOR FEAR OF SOUNDING STUPID. SO HELP ME OUT WHAT IS AN AMBIGIOUSE BABY???

I have not heard the word 'ambiguous' baby used.I can only guess that she means that the baby has both male and female sex organs. The usual term for this is 'Hermaphrodite'.

the baby' s genitalia may not be well-formed, or the baby may have general characteristics of both sexes
