Many children of this age do not like to eat coarse foods and only want to eat food that is very finely mashed or pureed. The time will come when he will be prepared to eat food with more texture but for now he will only eat smooth, soft foods.Offer him mainly what he likes to eat at first and then and gradually introduce other foods one at a time and always well pureed.
