Q.

WHAT COULD IT BE?

MY DAUGHTER NICOLE IS EIGHT YEARS OLD. SHE WOKE UP THIS MORNING COMPLAINING OF A SORE NECK.
TONIGHT ON THE LEFT HAD SIDE OF HER NECK IN THE MIDDLE OF HER NECK , IT IS SWOLEN (LUMP) IT IS VERY PAINFULL. IM WORRIED BECAUSE I HAD HODGEN NON LYMPHOME AT THE AGE OF 22. SHE HAS A TEMP OF 37.6 . PLEASE ADVICE ME WHAT IT COULD BE???

There are several posssible reasons for this lump.One possibility is a swollen lymph gland or an abscess in her neck.Another possible cause is mumps. There are other possible causes. She should be seen by a doctor especially as the lump is painful.

Maybe its mumps.Its going around now,aswell as measles and chiken pocks,!Why dont you take her to the doc?
