Q.

What could it be

HI Doc,

My son is 6 months old &  has reflux, but it seems to be working out of his system. He is still choking when drinking his bottle - what can I do to prevent this as it really worries me.

Thank you for always assisting,
Charlene

You are very welcome.Your baby should definitely not be choking when feeding on his bottle. This is probably not due to reflux. Sometimes babies have a problem called incoordinated swallowing reflex. There are other possible causes as well.If this choking is happening often and especially with most feeds you should ask your paediatrician to see your baby.

Maybe try a teat with a smaller hole.
