Q.

weight loss in 13 month old

My friend has a son (13mnth) he is 4kg below weight and he keeps loosing weight. He has a constant runny nose and a persistant cough. He is eating normally but is generally lethargic and unhappy. He has had 4 sets of antibiotics from the doctors but these make no difference. What other options do we have?

It is very important to find out why this little boy is losing weight. He may have TB or possibly another illness such as Cystic Fibrosis which is a chronic chest diease. He should be seen by a paediatrician as soon as possible.
