Q.

Weight gain

I have a 7 year old daugher who showed signs of early development at the age of 4. (underarm/pubic hair) This was confirmed with blood tests that was done. She has in the last couple of months gained alot of weight without eating anything different or more that she usually do. This has made her very self conscious and does have a emotianal effect on her. Can this weight gain be linked by any change to this hormonal problem?

Her sudden weight gain may be due to a hormonal cause in your daughter's case.Seeing that she has already undergone what is called 'precocious puberty', it is best for her to be seen by her paediatrician about her sudden weight gain problem.
