Q.

Water and 7 month old

Hi Doc,

Thanks for the time you take to answer all the queries posted. Much appreciated by this mom!

My LO is 6 - going on 7 - months old.
Should he be drinking water? He is a formula fed baby and has been on solids since 41/2 months.
When would I incorporate this? Do I replace one milk feed with water?
He is still not sleeping through. I thought that this might have something to do with his diet. What is the latest (your opinion) that a baby should have a meal?
His toenails are very unsightly. His paed suggested that I leave it as it will break off, but it has now grown onto his skin. Is this something that I need to get checked or is it something that he will perhaps outgrow?

Thanks again for your advice

your baby does not need ant water unless the weather is very hot. He can have the water as an extra.
The question about the time of his evening meal is difficult to answer. It all depends on your routine.6:30pm is about right.
I am not happy about his toenails growing into his skin like this. Please take him back to the paediatrician.
