Q.

Dear Doc

My 14 months old son doesnt want to walk. During the last weeks of Dec he was trying a few steps. Now he only crawls and cruises. He can stand unaided. What can I do to encourage him to walk?

Thank you

Do not worry too much your little son will start walking quite soon. You can help him along a bit by holding his hand and helping him to walk a few steps at a time. This is not absolutely necessary as he will learn to walk by himself. Many children only start walking at 17 to 18 months.
