Q.

Walking

Dear Doc

My little boy is 15 months old and is not walking yet. Will walk holding on to furniture, etc. with both hands and sometimes one hand. Has never standed totally alone by himself, but will lean against something with both hand free. Started to crawl at 8 months and is a excellent crawler. Is climbing onto about anything (height is not bothering him) and will crawl underneath the coffee table or bed to pick up something. When should I start worrying and be thinking about having him evaluated by someone?

Many babies only start walking at 17 or 18 months. Your little fellow seems to be pulling himself up well and should soon be standing unsupported and should be walking in a month or two.
