Waking up preteen

Is it normal for a preteen to really struggle with waking up in the morning, even though she is getting the same amount of sleep as always?

Teens need a lot more sleep than other kids or adults. Up to 12 hours a day! so I would guess she''s normal. But lets see what the Pead says.
