Q.

Vomiting

My daughter has just turned 4, she cant keep anything in the stomach, she vomits, can go for days without food, medication does help. This happens maybe 3 times in a year, should I be concerned? Often it happens when she is away from me.

Your daughter's vomiting suggests that she has a condition called periodic vomiting or cyclical vomiting, although most children with this kind of vomiting do so more often than 3 times a year. This is thought to be due to a form of migraine. It may help yor daughter to put her on a migraine diet. The main foods to exclude are all cheeses, bananas, chocolate, cola drinks, tea or coffee and marmite.
