Vomiting - 2 year old

Dear Doc,

My daughter turned two today, she has not been well recently. she has running nose, loose stools (which we think is because of teething). but on tuesday she vomited immidiately after finishing her food, then yesterday when i picked her up from creche i was told she vomited again. Last night around midnight she woke up couching and vomited again. She seems ok, and has no temperature.

what might be causing the vomiting? shoudl we be worried?

now and then she does have a running/blocked nose but we have been giving her Demazin.

Many thanks,

Your little girl has not been well lately but she has not been feverish. One of the most common causes of vomiting in children of this age with these symptoms is tonsillitis but then I would expect your baby to have a fever. Another possibility, especially with her coughing is that she is developing whooping cough. If she continues to cough and vomit it is important for her to be seen by her doctor.
