very snotty

My daughter is 12yrs and has a very snotty nose since last year Feb. We' ve had her to the ENT &  he put her on some medication which only relieved it a bit.Her mucus is very thick &  browny/yellow.She blows and blows but always full of mucus. She sneezes and it bursts out her nose. This is becoming very embarrissing for her as she is a big girl.I have exhausted my benefits and cannot take her back to ENT at the moment. It looks as if she has a constant cold.

You do not have a diagnosis of your daughter's problem. It sounds as if she has severe sinusitis. Keep her nose clear by using Salex nose spray twice daily every single day until she clears. The best treatment of all is to swim in the sea and sniff up some sea water while swimming. A change of climate also helps a lot. If she is not better after 6 weeks write to me again.

Sounds similar to what my 2yr old son had. I took him to a GP and the GP said he had a sinus infection. He prescribed antibiotics. After the first day there was already an improvement. That was on Monday. The yellow coming out of his nose has already cleared up.
