Vaccinations - doctor' s prescription

Dear Doc

I have been advised by a clinic in Durban to go to a doctor first in order to get a prescription for my 8 week old baby' s vaccinations. The sister siad that that the vaccinations have recently all been changed to " schedule 4" , and as such a doctor' s prescription is now required for all vaccines.

Is this correct? Also, is it likely that a GP who has not normally been involved with this process before will know the names of the various vaccines?

Thank you.

Your local baby clinic should have the usual recommended immunisations for your baby.
