UTI

Dr.
My baby daughter is 6months old and was diagnosed with Urinary tract infection. Can you please tell me what causes this and how
I can prevent it to happen again?

UtIs in little girl babies are especially common. Sometimes there is an abnormality of the urinary system, but in most cases there is not.The cause is usually not obvious. It is very important when you change her nappy and wipe her, to wipe backwards and not towards the vaginal area.
