This is not the correct medicine for chronic urticaria. You cannot keep your child on long term Preflam which is a cortisone medicine and will result in severe side effects after 6 months of use including effects on her growth and excessive weight gain among others. Zetop is the generic form of Zyrtec and I would prefer her to be on the original medicine as it is more effective. You do not give me your daughter's age so I cannot tell you what the dose should be.Write in again and I will recommend the correct dose.
