Urine results

My daugter is 4 months old, she had a urine test and the results show proteine and ketones in the urine, what does this mean?

Ketones simply mean that the urine was taken before your baby had a feed and she needed more fluid at the time. She should not have protein in her urine as the kidneys should prevent the loss of protein into the urine. Please ask your paediatrician to see her and to re-test her urine.
