Urgent help - Son throwing up

Hi Doc
My son is 6 months old. About three weeks ago I started him on rice cereal. Within that week, he got sick(flu) and was on an antibiotic.
From two weeks ago, he started throwing up. It can bit a bit or his entire feed alternatively it can his entire feed. This can happen immediately or 1½  hours after his feed.
I changed his cereal to maize last week as per your suggestion. This has not helped. I have changed his formula to NAN HA but he still seems to be throwing up. He also doesn’ t like the taste and only drinks half of his usually intake.
I started giving him reutri drops yesterday.
He does not look like he is self regurgitating. He gets upset when he throws up and 10 minutes later he will be happily playing.
The caregiver says that he is also finding it hard to swallow the maize cereal and that he was more receptive to the rice cereal. I tried stopping cereal on the weekend and he still seems to throw up. What do you suggest I do?
If your answer is to take him to a paed then should he see a specialist and if so what type of specialist and where can I find one closest to Midrand?
I thank you in advance for your assistance

Paediatrician

This does not appear to be due to a food allergy problem. He started off with a viral illness 3 weeks ago and has not been well since then. He does not seem to be refluxing, but rather vomiting. There are many causes of vomiting in infants and it is impossible to advise you safely without being able to examine your baby. It would be best if he sees a paediatrician. I do not know of any paediatricians in Midrand as such, but there are excellent paediatricians in the Sandton area.
