Urgent advice please

Good Day Doctor

Your advice urgently needed.

I took my 2 year old son to casualties over the weekend as he had a very high temperature, refusal to drink / eat
They diagnosed a throat infection and he is currently on Augmentin 5ml twice a day.
We used Empaped and Nurofen to control the fever.
What is odd though, is that his hands were always ice cold.
He is no longer on the pain / fever medication but his hands remain cold.
Should I take him to his paediatrician? (he was seen to by the trauma doctor)

Thanking you in advance.

This is quite common. Young children often may have a high fever yet their hands are cool or cold to the touch. Your son seems to be getting better from what you say here.
