Q.

Unvaccineted for TB at birth

Good day' 
i am HIV+ and when my Son was born, BCG was not given ddue to the risk at the time as we did not know his HIV status. He tested negative and is now 6yrs old, I need to know what can i do to. i did develop TB when he was 6mths,but he was put on prophalyxsis for the 6 mths I was on Treatment

Your son needs to be tested again for TB using the Mantoux or Tine test. Based on the reult of this test the clinic sister will decide whether he needs to have a BCG now.
