Underweight 13 month old...

Hi there,

My little girl is 13 mnths and weighs 7.6kg' s (hubby and I are also small AND she' s very active and teething now...but I know she doesn' t eat enough during the day - I can' t force her to eat if she doesn' t want to?!).

Her pead said I must give her one bottle of pediasure before bedtime.

What foods can I give her to " fatten"  her up without being unhealthy and that will keep her tummy full at night - she wakes every 1 1/2 hrs and drink milk.

Any advice please???

Thanks :-)

Your baby girl's weight is well below the average for her age. The average weight for a little girl of 13 months is 9.3kg. Your baby's weight is below the 10th percentile line on the infant growth chart which places her in the lowest 10% for babies of her age.It is a good idea to give her a bottle of Pediasure at bedtime and to make sure that she has a good mixed diet at this stage.
