Underarm odour in young child

Goodday,
My son just turned 9yrs and when his hot or running around his underarms tend to give off a bad odour, although I dont see actual sweat (I dont see his clothes wet). He doesnt have any hair(no signs of puberty). Is he not too young for this? His hygiene is good so I know its not due to that. What can I do to prevent this (is he too young to apply roll-on/spray?)

This is usually an early sign of puberty. As your son is only 9 years old you must wartch for other signs of puberty. If you do notice these he should be seen by his doctor as he is too young to be developing puberty now. In the meantime you can use a non-alcohol containing, unscented roll on deodorant for him such as the Mitchum kind.
