Q.

Unclear chest after cough

Dear Doc,
My 2 year old son had a cold about a week ago, when he was just about to complete treatment for tonsilitis. The cough went away in the past few days &  his nose is almost no longer runny - I' ve been giving him Salex drops for that. But he still has a build-up of phlegm, which leads to him having to cough to clear it up. What can I do?

Your son still has some mucous in his airways of his lungs as a result of his recent chest infection. It will help him to give either Flemex or Mucosirop for a few days to help to clear this out. Ask your pharmacist about these medicines.
