Q.

Two and half year old girl with very dry flaky scalp

My daughter is now two and half years old. She has a very dry and flaky scalp. It is not red or irritated and she does not scratch or complain about it but it looks horrible and dirty.
Is there a special sjampoo for children that you can recommend that might help? Can it be something serious? She does not have dry skin in general. She eats healthy and is not a sickly child otherwise.

This sounds like a scalp problem called seborrhoeic dermatitis or just 'seborrhoea'.You can try a shampoo called 'Pure Shampoo'You can get this shampoo at your pharmacy. If her scalp does not start to clear after 14 days it would be best to ask a dermatologist to see your daughter.
