Tums for kids as calcium supplement

My grandchild of 2 and a half years has a milk allergy and drinks rice milk. Someone suggested using Tums antacid for Kids as a calcium supplement. Is that a safe alternative? What about Isomil formula? Do you have any suggestions as he is also allergic to citrus and all milk products.

It is important to provide a calcium supplement for grandson while he is on rice milk. A regular chewable calcium tablet will be adequate. Do not use Tums. If he changes to Isomil this is already fortified with calcium.

Almost 50 million are usiunnred. The exact thing predicted by insurance people on this format and elsewhere, a couple of years ago, is happening: The Health Reform Act as written by our congress and senate, is making MORE people usiunnred. It will continue to drive the cost of insurance up, and encourage employers to discontinue health insurance coverage for their employers (by making it cheaper to pay the fine, than buy the required coverage).
