Q.

Treatment for squint?

As a child I had a bad squint, which was finally operated on after years of patching and eye exercises. I have no 3D vision and poor eyesight as a result. My 5 1/2 month old has just been referred to an eye specialist for a squint and I would like to know what the accepted method of treatment is now, 20 years later? I would never want him to go through what I did.

Treatment for squint in very young children has advanced over the years. All eye specialists are familiar with the correct treatment of this very common problem. Treatment will always depend on the kind and severity of the squint.
