The usual course for treating TB in children does last for 6 months. Your son has completed the course and provided he took his medicines regularly he should be cured. He seems to be well and is playing normally. If he does not sweat at night, is gaining weight well and has no cough he should be fine. Children of this age will eat what they need and again as long as he appears to be well there is no need for concern. If you are at all worried about him you can request that your son's TB skin test is repeated as well as him having a chest X ray, but usually the doctor will decide if this is at all necessary.
