Q.

Travelling abroad without baby

Hi
I have to attend compulsory training overseas for 10 days. Unfortunately we''re not by the means to have my husband and son travel with me. He stays with my mom during the day and in the evenings his with me and my husband, but now for 10 nights I won''t be there. My baby is 6 months old, my question is, will he adjust with me not being around for nearly 2 weeks? Will he be okay and when I come back will he know its me?

Your baby will be with people that love and care for him while you are away. It is you who will have the hard time being away from your baby. He will not remember you being away and he is still not old enough to experience separation anxiety. He will certainly know you when you return as he bonded with you from his birth.

Your baby will miss you very much, but as he will be with your mother and your husband who he knows well and who love him dearly, he will be fine. He will probably be very clingy on your return though and cry a lot and not let you out of his sight for a while.
