TOURETTE SYNDROME

Good day, I know Tourette Syndrome has something to do with unvoluntary movements of your body, mostly facial I think. How do you recognise Tourette Syndrome in a baby? Thank you

Paediatrician

Yes, jerky involuntary movements especially of the head and repetitive sounds are the first signs, It is very unusual for Tourettes syndrome to occur in a baby. Most cases only start around 7 years of age. If your baby is showing unusual jerky movements you must take him/her to your paediatrician as there are several causes of this in particular some forms of epilepsy.
