Q.

Tonsils

Hi there Professor,

My one year old is coughing a lot and has a blocked nose. I am giving him 2.5ml of Mucospect 3 times daily and Chamiflor nose spray. His tonsils are also swollen and this stops him from eating his normal portions.

Is there something I can give him for the swollen tonsils, a pain killer or a throat spray? I have Nurofen and Orichlor.

He has no fever, so is it necessary to put him onto anti-biotics?

There is probably no need for your son to have an antibiotic. One of Sister Lillian's products for children with tonsil problems should help your son. Ask your pharmacy for this. The other treatment you are using is a good choice.
