Q.

Tonic

Hi Doc
Us again....
Tay is eating well, but just not enough. I left him to eat what he wants to for the week, giving him free reign and putting liquids through peg at night to rehydrate him.

He is, however, down 600gm - his quantities are just too small.

The question i have is - what can i give him to try and increase his appetitie?

Thanks
Peta

Try an old fashioned antihistamine syrup known as Longifene Syrup. It is regarded as having very good appetite stimulating properties. The dose is 5 to 10 ml half an hour before the three main meals.
