Q.

toddler''s skin is not smooth

Hi Doc,
My daughter is 22 months old. I have noticed that the skin on her back and stomach is a bit rough. What is the cause? Will applying aqueous cream help? I only noticed this recently.
Also, she has discoloured patches on her cheeks. Could this be a lack of vitamins? She drinks Nido formula and is a healthy eater, however, not very good with the vegatables.
Thanks.

This may simply be a dry skin problem or be due to a mild form of eczema. However sometimes children with low Viamin C levels in their body can develop this type of rough skin. So it would be a good idea to give your little girl a vitamin supplement daily. Apply Epimax cream to her skin every evening after bathing.
