Q.

Toddler started stuttering

My son had his tonsils taken out about 2 months ago. He will be 3 yrs old in December this year. We have noticed that he started stuttering round about the same time he had his tonsils out. Do we wait it out and see if it goes away or do we take him to a speach therapist? He obviously doesn''t talk fluently yet but he really battles to get some words out.

Many children of this age go through a temporary period of stuttering. It would still be best to take your son to see a speech therapist rather than waiting to see what is going to hppen.
