Q.

Toddler Nose bleeds

Hi Doc
Last week friday my 2,5yr old had a nose bleed. It bled during the day while his creche was at the zoo and also in the evening at home. Then after that nothing. This morning I saw that his nose bled during the night. He was treated for a severe flu about 2 weeks ago although the flu is gone he still has a cough but i' m taking a break from all the medicine for a while.
Should I be concerned about the nose bleeds or is it common in toddlers to have nose bleeds.

Thanks
Andy

It is not at all common for toddlers to have nose bleeds. Your little son should be seen by his paediatrician first to be sure that his blood count is normal and that he does not have to be referred to an ENT surgeon.
